Hi friends. Happy New Year! How are you? I hope you’re all safe and well.
I woke up this morning tired but ready to tackle the day. I knocked off a few to-dos and then sat down at my desk at 8:58 to make a call right at 9 AM. Only when the voice mail informed me that the office was closed did I realize today is Sunday, not Monday. Like many of you, the days continue to blur together, but for once it was a nice surprise. So I thought I’d take this extra gifted day to catch up with you, dear blogger friends.
First of all I have confession to make. I stopped keeping up with my doodle calendars after last September. It just got put to the wayside with all of the life and other record-keeping that was happening. From October to December I also kept a pretty thorough BTS journal that took up a lot of my creative journaling time. I’m not sure if I’ll pick it up again this year as I’ve started approximately 17 notebooks and journals for 2021. Either way, I’ve made a habit of recording memories through creative journaling, so if this is the end of the doodle calendars it’ll be okay.
Also as I alluded to in my last post, last fall I became a BTS fan. That still holds true today (to a greater degree than you are probably imagining). In short, the band (and joining the fandom) has had a really positive influence on my life. I am healthier and happier, and I feel very grateful.
On to the catchup.

To sum up, I’ve been doing really well despite all the craziness going on in the world. And I will try to check in more often here in the new year. Be healthy and well, friends!
P.S. the featured photo at the top is my friend’s dog, Foucault. He’s a very good boy and you should check out his Instagram for more.
I laughed at the BTS fan ‘to a greater degree than you realize’ bit. Oh, ho, ho, so true. I saw the evidences ๐
But I’m so happy for you because it’s a healthy-ish? obsession. Actually, music is a wonderful mood changer. I was just speaking to the man this morning about how I think many folks around the world are obsessed with politics to fill a void which could be due to lockdowns or mid-life crises, or who knows, insert your struggle here.
Stay in the zone where you feel best and I’m pleased to know that someone else is doing their best to stay healthy, happy and sane. โค
P.S. In your first photo your hair looks like it's getting long… looks great tho' ๐

Haha yes you have been witness to the degree of fanship. I think it can border on unhealthy when I stay up too late on Twitter scrolling through funny GIFS, but I really can’t overemphasize the positive impact. The music, the entertainment factor, the inspiration they give, but also joining the fandom has given me a sense of being connected and belonging to a community, something that I really needed in 2020. โค
