Hi friends! Somehow we are already saying goodbye to September and entering the last quarter of 2026. It feels like I say this every month, but where has the time gone? I hope you’ve all had a good month.
Early in the month I got to visit Yubu Island for a shore birding trip. I saw thousands of shorebirds and plovers, thanks to the generosity of the birders I went with who shared their knowledge and field scopes. To be honest, the sheer number of birds could get overwhelming, but then I’d just take my eyes away from the binoculars and just admire the big picture view.
I also went birding a few more times in Seoul, visited family in Busan for the Chuseok holiday, finished an A3 size zine about the Great Blue Heron, and crocheted a little Gromit doll.
Just a short update from me as I am feeling a bit tired today. Wishing you all a great start to October!
